How to Clean NES game cartridges and Genesis

Cartridge-based games have two pieces of metal make physical contact with others, carry the signal between the game and the console. For this reason, the accumulation innert, such as dust on the contact points act as a natural barrier that prevents the game and the system of communication with others. The age of the game, the more likely this problem will occur. Otherwise, the cartridge-based games are incredibly hard and does not tend to fail for any reason, if the tape appears to be in good condition are almost certain to work once cleaned. What you need: 70-95% isopropyl rubbing alcohol 2 minutes Q-Tips On the bottom of the cartridge (the part inserted in the console) you will notice is a circuit board in the center with small strips of metal on both sides. Apply the alcohol to a Q-Tip (2-3 bunches from one end tends to be more efficient) and clean both sides of the vessel. Alcohol evaporates very quickly, so do not be afraid to get too wet contacts, with little trimmings really break any faster and accelerate the process. What we are trying to do is to polish the metal contacts, and therefore continue to vigorously swab each side until the Q-tips are no longer painted black or gray. Replace Q-tips, such as soiled or begin to break. Once the Q-Tips will not come out dirty and have to wait more about alcohol remaining on board to evaporate. Take a clean, dry Q-Tip and vigorously scratch on each side of the ship, if comes out clean you're done!
